Simon Cotton lives in Moray and is the owner and Chief Executive of Perth-based business MacNaughton Holdings which weaves fabric in Moray and includes Highlandwear business House of Edgar, home furnishings business The Isle Mill, apparel cloth supplier Whitehill and Wilsons, scarf brand MAC.N and Scoutneckers. Previous to this, Simon was the Chief Executive Officer of the UKs largest textiles company, Johnstons of Elgin, for 8 years until 2021.
Simon was a member of the Enterprise and Skills Strategic Board for Scotland and helped found the Sustainable Fibre Alliance promoting sustainable farming in China and Mongolia.
