David Oxley is our Director of Strategic Projects.

He leads the Strategic Projects team focusing on delivering key projects which will have a transformational impact across the region including renewable energy, net zero and space.

Originally from County Durham, David qualified as an ACMA accountant in the early 1990s, and spent 15 years working in businesses, particularly in the food and drink sector, in London and the East Midlands.

David joined HIE in 2004 as head of operations in Lochaber and became our Area Manager for Moray in 2011. He was also Director of Business Growth from 2016 until 2021, when he took on his current role.
