Rachel started working for HIE as a Development Manager in 2003 and before starting her role as Director of Enterprise Support, she was Area Manager in Shetland from 2012 until May 2021.

The role of the Enterprise and Community Support directorate is to drive up levels of green growth, resilience, innovation, international trade and productivity across HIE’s client base. This is achieved through promoting effective client engagement and by delivering a suite of client products and services to meet HIE’s strategic priorities and customer needs. Rachel also liaises closely with key partners such as Business Gateway, Skills Development Scotland and Scottish Development International to ensure our clients enjoy seamless support across the wider enterprise support landscape.
