Argyll and Bute Transport Connectivity and Economy Research

This report presents the findings of the Argyll and Bute Transport Connectivity and Economy Research.

The study aimed to review strategic transport corridors and movements, and to identify perceived problems and opportunities in relation to transport connectivity within Argyll and Bute, and between the area and the Central Belt. The report develops high level objectives to address the problems identified, and explores various options for transport improvements which could be considered in future appraisals.

The focus of the research was on transport connectivity between the main population centres of Dunoon, Campbeltown, Lochgilphead, Oban and Rothesay, and from these to the Central Belt.
